Resources for family members

?

What is the families track?

A dedicated set of resources for spouses, parents, and children — their own peer support, counseling, and survivor benefits, in their own right. Crisis help (988) is for family members too.

Survivor & line-of-duty benefits

Federal PSOB and state line-of-duty programs provide death and disability benefits and education support for the families of fallen and catastrophically injured responders.

  1. Contact the PSOB program (U.S. DOJ) for the survivor or disability claim
  2. Gather the duty-status determination and records
  3. Connect with a survivor advocate (e.g. Concerns of Police Survivors, NFFF)
